LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION
As you can imagine we are all very busy preparing for our school production entitled Lights, Camera, Action. Due to great demand and the timetabling of the theatre at Calder High we are holding our performances on Thursday 3rd and Friday 4th July. As you can imagine it is really important that the cast are present on both nights in order to guarantee the success of both evenings. We look forward to seeing you at the theatre and are sure a great time will be had by all!

Everyone in our class is working hard towards the end of KS2 SATs so that we are ready for them. We are going through past papers and looking at what we will have to do to demonstrate our knowledge.
There is a great website where there are activities, hints and quizzes all related to Maths, English and Science at the following address:

In amongst all our revision we are continuing with other curriculum areas, especially enjoying P.E. and singing. We have some fantastic singers in our class and particularly enjoy singing a short song, Golden Sands, in 4 parts. We are also learning some traditional songs, The Lincolnshire Poacher and My Grandfather’s Clock.
We have also been enjoying keeping an eye on the osprey’s nest and their eggs at www.swt.org.uk We have even had it on our class whiteboard, in the background, though they do get a bit noisy at times!
